We've chosen their site for many reasons and despite some shortcomings we feel this is a perfect example of a site which can inspire others and has already inspired us to continue our journey towards our own creative growth. yU+co's use of minimalism in their design, combined with their use of action-scripting for interactivity, and constant motion for a more dynamic feel left us feeling both impressed and intrigued with their work, certainly inviting us to browse through their portfolio section. Unfortunately, we felt that some of the same aspects which impressed us also caused a certain amount of disenchantment, as the action scripting which allows for the interactivity and dynamism which the site provides also makes navigation a bit cumbersome and often discouraging. This is certainly not a business oriented site, it is quite obviously art oriented and designed for those people who let their curiosity and awe guide their action, rather than those who let the constraints of time dictate their schedule. But having created a flash site which is also art oriented and caters less to businesses than art enthusiasts we could relate to yU+co and felt that that should certainly not keep us from giving it the recognition it deserves as our currently featured site.
